The House of Hope ministers to sick & disabled children with cleft-palate, club-feet, malnourishment, cancer, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, AIDS, severe burns, and broken bones. Children range from infants through teenagers. Mothers sometimes travel many hours by boat or by walking to bring their children to receive the care that they cannot give them. The School of Hope, recognized by the government, offers two classes for the children (a younger class & an older class). The mission team worked at the House of Hope and the Puerto Lempira Hospital.
